India, April 9 -- In a noticeable push for urban mobility, the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the second phase of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project. Estimated to cost Rs 13,038 crores. This project will have a 41-km North-South corridor from Prahladpura to Todi Mod with 36 stations.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the decisions taken by the Union Cabinet for developing infrastructure in Rajasthan. "The approval is part of a larger set of Cabinet decisions clearing projects worth approximately Rs 1.74 lakh crore, which also include nutrient subsidies for farmers, expansion of the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery and major hydropower initiatives".
