UK Court jails mother of Henry Nowak's killer for hiding murder weapon
India, July 18 -- A court in the United Kingdom has sentenced Kiran Kaur, the mother of convicted murderer Vickrum Digwa, to three years in prison for assisting her son by removing and concealing the knife used to kill 18-year-old university student Henry Nowak in Southampton.
The court found that Kaur took the weapon from the crime scene and hid it at the family home, obstructing the police investigation into the fatal stabbing.
Vickrum Digwa was previously sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 21 years after being convicted of murdering Nowak in December 2025. Prosecutors argued that Kaur's actions delayed the recovery of crucial evidence and reinforced her son's false account of the incident.
