India, April 15 -- In a significant step towards advancing India's global education ambitions, Birkbeck, University of London, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, to establish its global campus in Bengaluru.

The development aligns closely with the vision of the Government of India to position India as a global hub for higher education by 2030, as outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and reflects the growing momentum in India-UK academic collaboration championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
