India, June 5 -- A 19-year-old woman from Uganda has been admitted to a government hospital in Jaipur after displaying symptoms resembling an Ebola virus infection, health officials said on Friday. Authorities clarified that the disease has not been confirmed and further testing is underway.

The woman arrived in Jaipur as a tourist from Sharjah on an Air Arabia flight and was identified as a suspected case during routine screening at the airport by a state health department medical team. She was immediately shifted to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) Hospital and placed in isolation at a critical care unit.
