India, May 13 -- Ride-hailing company Uber is set to establish its first data center in India in partnership with Adani Group, marking a major step in expanding its technology infrastructure in the country.

The announcement was made by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi after meeting Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

Sharing the update on social media, Khosrowshahi said the upcoming data center will help Uber test and deploy technology solutions at scale from India for global operations.
