India, Sept. 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday spoke with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who called to extend birthday greetings to the Indian leader.

The two leaders also reviewed developments in West Asia and discussed steps to further strengthen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, Modi and Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed their commitment to working closely on issues related to regional peace, security and stability.
