Two killed, nine injured in reactor blast at Telangana pharma unit
India, Aug. 22 -- Two workers were killed and nine others injured in a reactor blast at a pharmaceutical company in Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, police said on Saturday, Aug 22.
The incident occurred late Friday night, triggering a fire at the unit in Pochampally mandal as workers were changing shift.
"Two persons died. Nine people were injured, including two who suffered more than 50% burns while seven sustained minor injuries," a police official told PTI.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals, the official said. The fire was subsequently extinguished by the fire department. A case has been registered, and further investigation is under way.
