India, May 23 -- A court on Friday sent Samarth Singh, the husband of deceased MBA graduate Twisha Sharma, to seven-day police remand in connection with the ongoing investigation into her death case.

According to officials, Samarth Singh was produced before the court after being detained by the police as part of the probe into the suspicious death of Twisha Sharma, whose case has sparked widespread public attention.

Investigators informed the court that custodial interrogation of the accused was necessary to examine the sequence of events leading to Twisha Sharma's death and to verify evidence collected so far.
