India, June 30 -- A Bhopal court extended the judicial custody of Samarth Singh and his mother, Giribala Singh, till July 14 in connection with the alleged dowry harassment and death case of Twisha Sharma. The order came after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sought an additional 14-day extension to continue its probe.

The accused were produced before the court through video conferencing after the expiry of their previous judicial remand. During the hearing, the CBI informed the court that the investigation was still underway and that more time was needed to complete key aspects of the probe, including recording witness statements and examining digital evidence.
