India, May 12 -- US President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 14 during his three-day official visit to China, amid heightened geopolitical tensions and ongoing concerns over trade, Taiwan and the Middle East crisis.

According to multiple international reports, Trump's visit to Beijing is expected to take place from May 13 to May 15 and will mark the first visit by a US president to China since 2017.

The summit between the two leaders was earlier delayed due to tensions linked to the Iran conflict but has now been rescheduled for mid-May.
