India, June 9 -- US President Donald Trump has claimed that Israel and Iran have agreed to refrain from attacking each other for at least another week, describing the development as a positive step toward a broader peace agreement in the Middle East.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said both countries had agreed, through his mediation efforts, to temporarily halt hostilities and "leave each other alone" for another week. He expressed optimism that ongoing negotiations could soon lead to a more comprehensive agreement between the two sides.
