India, May 13 -- A training aircraft belonging to Redbird Flight Training Academy made a hard landing near Gojubavi village in Baramati on Wednesday morning during a routine training session, police officials said.

According to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, the incident was not a crash but occurred when the aircraft struck a pole while attempting to land.

The trainee pilot, who was alone onboard the aircraft, escaped safely and no injuries were reported in the incident.

Police said the aircraft was conducting a solo practice sortie from Baramati airport between 8:30 am and 9 am when the hard landing took place in an open area near the village.
