India, March 30 -- Traffic flow on East Delhi's busy Vikas Marg corridor has improved significantly following a series of enforcement and traffic management measures by the Delhi Traffic Police on Sunday.
According to the Traffic Police, average travel time on the stretch has reduced from 20-25 minutes to around 14-15 minutes after sustained action against violations and infrastructure changes.
Vikas Marg is one of the most important arterial roads connecting the Trans-Yamuna areas to Central Delhi. The corridor witnesses heavy traffic due to dense commercial activity, residential colonies, and high pedestrian movement. It is also supported by major metro stations such as Laxmi Nagar, Preet Vihar, and Nirman Vihar.
