India, June 19 -- The Jaipur Polo Grounds in Delhi witnessed dramatic developments after central government authorities moved in following the recent takeover of the 15.2-acre property in the Race Course area, with reports indicating tractors entering the premises and parts of the ground being dug up.

The action comes after the Centre, through the Land and Development Office (L&DO), officially took physical possession of the iconic polo ground last week, following an eviction order issued against the Indian Polo Association (IPA). The authorities had declared the association an "unauthorised occupant" after its lease was deemed expired.
