The tragic Partition of India
India, Aug. 15 -- On 14th August 1947, India was partitioned into three parts. The main actors of this tragic partition were the British, the Muslim League and the Indian National Congress. On the request of Liaquat Ali Khan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah returned from London in 1934 and assumed leadership of the Muslim League. Under Jinnah's leadership, the Muslim League passed the Pakistan Resolution at its Lahore session on March 23, 1940. While addressing this session, Jinnah gave the 'Two-Nation Theory'.
