India, Sept. 28 -- Narada, the celestial messenger and constant traveller between worlds, was often mischievously blamed across the scriptures for stirring conflict wherever his travels took him.

Yet a closer look at his many stories reveals a rather different pattern underneath the mischief. Narada rarely lied or invented discord out of malice. He simply carried true information, often uncomfortable, sometimes deeply inconvenient, from one party to another, forcing hidden tensions and unspoken resentments into the open rather than allowing a false, fragile peace to persist undisturbed.
