India, Oct. 24 -- The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) has recommended Environmental Compensation, forfeiture of Bank Guarantees and closure orders against construction projects in Nanakramguda and Kokapet found violating air pollution norms, following a review of 19 projects on Saturday.

The Task Force Committee, which met at the TGPCB Head Office, recommended that projects with major non-compliances be made to pay Environmental Compensation. Projects with minor non-compliances face forfeiture of the Bank Guarantees they had furnished. The Committee also recommended that all non-complying projects be directed to rectify the violations within 10 days.
