Tenyimi Union demands justice for 6 Nagas killed in Manipur
India, June 24 -- An apex tribal body in Nagaland on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of six Nagas in Manipur and demanded immediate arrest and stringent punishment for the perpetrators. It also expressed serious concern over the rising incidence of crimes against women and children.
The resolutions were adopted at the first Annual General Session of the Tenyimi Union Nagaland (TUN), an apex body of five tribes in the State - Anagmi, Chakhesang, Pochury, Rengma and Zeliang - held under the theme "Progressive society through Unity" at the Angami Gazetted Officers' Krotho Building, Badze, Meriema here.
