India, Oct. 13 -- The Telangana government has announced a 34 per cent profit share for Singareni Collieries Company employees, with each permanent worker set to receive a bonus of Rs 1.53 lakh and contract workers Rs 5,500.

Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced the decision at a press conference, along with a series of welfare measures covering compassionate appointments, housing, healthcare and the reinstatement of certain dismissed employees.

Bhatti said compassionate appointments at Singareni would be made within 15 days. He also assured employees working under assumed names that the government would find a permanent solution to their issues.
