India, May 4 -- Tamil Nadu Assembly Election Results 2026 are unfolding dramatically, with actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) emerging as a major force, overtaking the ruling DMK in early counting trends.

The state, long dominated by Dravidian politics led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, is witnessing a three-cornered contest this time. The DMK, led by Chief Minister M K Stalin, is facing stiff competition from both the AIADMK alliance and TVK.
