India, May 5 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) will play the role of a "strong opposition" following its defeat in the 2026 Assembly elections.

Reacting to the results, Stalin thanked voters for their support and reaffirmed the party's commitment to "people's politics," stating that the DMK would continue to represent public interests despite being out of power.
