India, May 27 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday for his first official visit to the national capital after assuming office earlier this month.

During the visit, Vijay is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior Union ministers and top Congress leaders, underlining the growing political significance of Tamil Nadu's newly formed coalition government.

According to sources, Vijay is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at around 4:30 pm on Wednesday. Meetings with President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are also part of his itinerary.
