India, June 10 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay arrived in the national capital on Wednesday and is expected to attend the upcoming meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Upon his arrival in Delhi, Vijay was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour and was received at Tamil Nadu Bhavan by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar and other senior state officials.

The visit marks Vijay's second trip to Delhi since assuming office. During his previous visit on May 27, he met Prime Minister Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss a range of issues concerning Tamil Nadu.
