India, May 9 -- Suvendu Adhikari was sworn in as the first Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Minister of West Bengal on Saturday at a grand oath-taking ceremony held at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor RN Ravi in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers, Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states, and senior BJP leaders.
Several newly elected BJP legislators, including Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Nisith Pramanik, and Kshudiram Tudu, were also sworn in as ministers in the new state cabinet.
