India, May 20 -- India has successfully conducted trials of the indigenous 'Suryastra' rocket system, showcasing its capability to accurately strike targets at a range of up to 300 kilometres.

Officials said the advanced rocket system met all operational parameters during the test launches, marking a significant milestone in India's defence preparedness and indigenous weapons development programme.

The trials demonstrated the rocket system's precision strike capability, rapid deployment features and effectiveness in long-range battlefield operations. Defence experts said the successful tests will strengthen India's strategic and tactical firepower.
