India, Sept. 3 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a PIL seeking a re-conduct of the NEET-PG 2026 exam, pulling up the petitioner and the advocate and imposing a cost for filing the plea.

A bench of Justices PS Narasimha and Alok Aradhe dismissed the petition with a cost of Rs 25,000, and said it would flag the matter to the Bar Council of India over what it called misuse of the writ jurisdiction by the advocate.

The petitioner sought re-examination for all NEET-PG candidates, alleging the exam violated a May 2025 Supreme Court order that mandated the test be conducted in a single shift.
