India, May 2 -- The Supreme Court of India has ruled that a nominee of the West Bengal government will be included in the vote counting process for the ongoing Assembly elections, offering partial relief to the Trinamool Congress amid its dispute with the Election Commission.

The decision comes in the backdrop of a legal challenge by the TMC against the Election Commission of India's (ECI) directive to deploy central government and PSU employees for vote counting across the state.
