Speeding Mercedes kills scooty rider in Delhi hit-and-run; Driver arrested
India, July 7 -- A 29-year-old scooty rider was killed in a hit-and-run accident after a speeding Mercedes allegedly rammed into his two-wheeler near the Jahangirpuri Bus Stand on Delhi's Outer Ring Road. Police have arrested the driver of the luxury car.
The accident took place on the night of July 5 near the foot overbridge at the Jahangirpuri Bus Stand. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information and found the rider critically injured. He was taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased was identified as Deepak, a resident of Mangolpuri.
