Sonam Wangchuk hospitalised after 21-day hunger strike at Jantar Mantar as health worsens
India, July 18 -- Climate activist and education reform advocate Sonam Wangchuk was shifted to Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital after completing 21 days of an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar.
The move came after doctors raised concerns about his deteriorating health and advised immediate medical intervention. Delhi Police said the transfer was carried out in accordance with medical recommendations and directions issued by the Delhi High Court to ensure his safety.
