India, April 29 -- In a major development in the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case, accused Sonam Raghuvanshi has been granted bail by a local court, reportedly due to procedural lapses in her arrest and delays in trial proceedings.

The decision has sparked strong reactions from both families. The victim Raja Raghuvanshi's family has demanded a CBI probe, alleging lapses in the police investigation and raising concerns over their safety if other accused - Raj Kushwaha, Vishal, and Akash - are also granted bail.
