India, Nov. 7 -- Havildar S R Arun Raj, died after an army vehicle plunged into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (November 04). He was laid to rest with full military honours at his native place in Chellannur, Kerala on Saturday (November 07).

Havildar Raj and a colleague died on Wednesday in an accident in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

Raj's body was flown to Cochin International airport, after which his body was first kept at the Army Camp in Kozhikode for people to pay their respects. Then his body was transferred to his native place in Chellanur. A large number of people paid their last respects to the deceased soldier in his hometown.
