India, May 16 -- Hypertension creeps into young lives shaped by stress, long hours, poor sleep, and little time for exercise, often causing harm before it is noticed. Ahead of World Hypertension Day 2026, a major health conference in Delhi saw doctors, policymakers, and public experts warn that this condition is no longer confined to the elderly. Hypertension is now spreading rapidly among young Indians.
