India, March 21 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Friday asked heads of state universities in the capital to shift focus from theoretical learning to skill-based education, stressing the need to improve employability among students.
During an interaction with vice-chancellors and directors of state universities, Sandhu emphasised that academic institutions must align education with industry needs, particularly in emerging sectors. "Education is critical for the future of our youth and the nation," Sandhu said, referring to the broader vision of a developed India.
