Seven killed, five missing in a landslide at Nepal's Rolpa district
India, Aug. 13 -- At least seven people were killed and five others went missing when a landslide, triggered by heavy downpour, hit Nepal's Rolpa district, police said on Thursday.
The landslide occurred in Kotalbara village of Thawang Rural Municipality, 450 km west of Kathmandu, on Wednesday evening, police said.
Seven bodies were recovered from the site on Thursday morning, according to Shailendra Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force.
Two people who sustained injuries in the incident have been taken to a local hospital in nearby Butawal Municipality, police said.
Those killed in the incident include three elderly people and two minors.
