India, April 29 -- Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under Spear Corps, in close conjunction with Manipur Police, conducted a series of precise, intelligence-driven joint operations across Kakching, Chandel and Tengnoupal Districts during the period of April 19 to 25, a press release said.

The operations led to the apprehension of 03 cadres from hill and valley-based groups and the recovery of 06 weapons, explosives and other war-like stores.

On April 19, Assam Rifles launched a joint operation with the Kakching Commando team at Kakching Lamkhai Laipham Loknung.

During the operation an active cadre of the PREPAK (Pro) was apprehended.
