SC orders probe into UP trial judge
India, Sept. 5 -- Expressing displeasure over a trial court's repeated failure to submit the report sought by it, the Supreme Court has directed the registrar general of the Allahabad High Court to initiate a preliminary inquiry against the concerned judicial officer.
The apex court said the trial court had failed to submit the report before it on three occasions.
A bench of Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and Shree Chandrashekhar noted that in February 2020, the top court had directed the trial court to conclude within one year the proceedings in a suit seeking eviction of the respondents before it from a property.
