India, July 29 -- Former Netherlands batter Ryan ten Doeschate has joined Kolkata Knight Riders as head of cricket strategy after his tenure as assistant coach of the Indian team ended, the IPL franchise said on Wednesday.

Ten Doeschate will oversee cricket strategy, talent scouting, player recruitment, squad planning and performance evaluation across KKR's global franchises, while working with coaching teams to develop a consistent cricketing philosophy.

He will also serve as assistant coach for Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the ILT20 and Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket.
