Rs 7,000 crore Delhi-Gurgaon tunnel likely to get Cabinet nod to boost connectivity
India, June 24 -- The Union Cabinet is likely to approve a major infrastructure project worth around Rs 7,000 crore aimed at significantly improving connectivity between Delhi and Gurugram, according to official sources.
The proposed six-lane tunnel will connect South Delhi's Nelson Mandela Marg with Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur, providing a signal-free underground corridor towards Gurugram. The project is expected to ease congestion on key arterial routes, including NH-48, Rao Tula Ram Marg, and surrounding airport-bound traffic corridors.
