India, Sept. 3 -- Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Virendra Kumar on Tuesday called for building an inclusive society where persons with disabilities are recognised for their abilities, talent, competence and potential rather than their disability.

He was speaking at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and the Rajyoga Education & Research Foundation (RERF), a sister organisation of Brahma Kumaris, for the launch of the Divyang Samanata, Sanrakshan evam Sashakti-karan Abhiyan (DISSSA) at Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
