India, May 2 -- Punjab Police has reportedly registered two FIRs against Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak, who recently switched from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), sources said on Saturday.

According to officials, both FIRs have been filed under non-bailable sections, although specific details regarding the charges have not yet been made public.

Pathak was among seven Rajya Sabha MPs who resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party and later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, in a major political development that significantly impacted the party's strength in the Upper House.
