Rajya Sabha adjourned till Wednesday amid NEET row
India, July 28 -- Rajya Sabha proceedings were disrupted for the seventh consecutive day on Tuesday, July 28, as opposition parties raised the issue of police action against NEET paper-leak protesters in the national capital.
The House had already adjourned once minutes after convening at 11 am, over the same uproar. When it reassembled post-lunch, Deputy Chairman Harivansh took up government legislative business during which Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi introduced The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026, as listed on the day's agenda.
But protests soon resumed, prompting Chairman C P Radhakrishnan to adjourn the House till Wednesday, July 29.
