India, June 8 -- Delhi experienced a sudden change in weather, with rain lashing parts of the national capital on Sunday, bringing much-needed relief from the prevailing heat conditions. Visuals from near Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport showed rain lashing several areas around the airport.

The showers led to a noticeable drop in temperature, offering respite to residents who had been enduring hot and humid conditions over the past few days. Delhi recorded the maximum temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday, 1.6 notches above the seasonal average.
