India, Aug. 13 -- Rain hit several parts of Delhi on Thursday, affecting traffic movement at several stretches during peak hours, with commuters facing slow movement and snarls at key intersections and arterial roads.

The Ridge recorded the highest rainfall of 26.2 mm between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, followed by Safdarjung at 20.2 mm, Palam at 12.6 mm and Lodi Road at 6.4 mm, according to the India Meteorological Department. Ayanagar recorded no rainfall during the period.

Heavy traffic was reported around ITO and Mandapam, while commuters also faced congestion on the Geeta Colony-Shakarpur side and the Sarai Kale Khan corridor.
