India, Sept. 27 -- BJP MP Tarun Chugh on Sunday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of spreading "lies and confusion" about the Election Commission and alleged that he was defaming Indian institutions, culture and civilisation to "please his foreign masters".

Speaking to PTI Videos on the sidelines of a programme in Raipur, Chugh said elections under previous Congress governments had witnessed booth capturing, violence and other irregularities, while polls under the BJP-led government were being conducted by an impartial Election Commission.
