India, May 20 -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Chinese President Xi Jinping that relations between Russia and China have reached an "unprecedentedly high level" during talks in Beijing.

The two leaders met during an official ceremony where they discussed strengthening strategic cooperation across multiple sectors, including energy, trade, and technology.

Putin said Russia is ready to ensure continued and uninterrupted supplies of oil and gas to China, highlighting the growing energy partnership between the two countries.

Xi Jinping described bilateral relations as having reached the "highest level of comprehensive strategic partnership," stressing mutual support and closer coordination on global issues.
