India, May 4 -- Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their third child, Buckingham Palace has announced.

In an official statement, the Palace confirmed that King Charles III has been informed and is "delighted" with the news. The couple's two sons, August, five, and Ernest, two, are also said to be excited about welcoming a new sibling.

The baby is expected to arrive in summer 2026, adding another member to the British royal family. Princess Eugenie, 36, shared the announcement on social media with a heartwarming image of her children holding a baby scan, captioned: "Baby Brooksbank due 2026!"

The new arrival will be 15th in line to the British throne, just ahead of their great-uncle Prince Edward.
