India, May 13 -- Prateek Yadav, stepbrother of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, passed away in Lucknow, triggering a wave of political condolences and family mourning.

According to live updates, Prateek Yadav's mortal remains were brought to his residence, where family members, political leaders, and supporters gathered to pay their last respects. His funeral is scheduled to take place on Thursday at 12:30 PM at Pipra Ghat in Lucknow.
