India, Oct. 1 -- A 25-year-old woman was found hanging at her in-laws' house in Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh, following which police registered a dowry death case against her husband and his parents, officials said on Thursday.

The deceased, identified as Rohini alias Antima, was found hanging inside a room at the family's home in Jamethi village on Wednesday. Police sent her body for post-mortem examination after being informed about the incident.

According to a complaint filed by Rohini's father, Ganga Sagar Mishra, she married Akash Mishra in February 2025. He alleged that she had been facing harassment from her in-laws over demands for dowry.
