India, July 30 -- Delhi Police stepped up security arrangements across the national Capital ahead of the annual Kanwar Yatra, deploying additional personnel, Quick Response Teams (QRTs), PCR vans and pickets at strategic locations to ensure the smooth and safe movement of Kanwariyas, officials said on Wednesday.

Senior police officers said elaborate security and traffic arrangements have been put in place across the city, particularly in north, northeast, east, central, outer north, outer, Rohini, Dwarka, west, southwest and south Delhi police districts that fall along the routes used by devotees entering the Capital from neighbouring states.
