India, June 10 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received warm congratulations from world leaders on the eve of his becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister of India. A meeting of the NDA to celebrate its Government completing 12 years and Modi becoming the longest continuously serving elected PM of India is also scheduled on Wednesday.

Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Disanayaka, in a letter to the PM, conveyed the warm congratulations of the Government and people of Sri Lanka, stating: "This milestone is a testament not only to your years in office, but also to the trust and confidence that the people of the world's largest democracy have repeatedly placed in your leadership."
